From fragmented systems to a connected, scalable operation.

In Wylie’s own words.
The complete story as told by Cool Clean’s COO — unedited.
I started my career as a mechanical engineer in the United States Air Force, working on technology development—mostly in satellite communications. After my MBA, I moved into management consulting and gradually shifted from board decks and gap analyses to more hands-on roles as an agile product owner.
Later on, I led a team at Wells Fargo focused on connecting a lot of fragmented systems across the organization. WF had grown too fast, and while financially successful, they had lost control of their customer experience. That time really shaped how I think—how to see simplicity in chaos. And how to use technology to align business, data, and process.
Those experiences led me to Cool Clean Technologies. We’ve been around for 25 years, building engineered systems that have real impact—reducing cancer risk for firefighters, eliminating wastewater contamination, even replacing materials like Styrofoam with biodegradable alternatives. A variety of solutions all tied to a common mission, improving human and environmental health.
When I came in, the opportunity wasn’t about changing what we build—it was about improving how we operate. Like a lot of established companies, we had strong execution, but also a lot of disconnected systems—ERP, CRM, project management, HR—and a lot of our data lived in PDFs or even paper files.
I had a vision for where we could go, but we didn’t have the resources to build out a full internal team. That’s where Future Analytics came in.
Working with the Future Analytics team has been a huge advantage. Instead of hiring multiple full-time roles, we get access to a full team—data engineering, analytics, automation, AI experts—all working together. And they’ve helped us take a very practical, iterative approach.
We started by connecting our systems and pulling data out of legacy documents. From there, we began building a more complete picture across sales, operations, and finance.
One thing I really appreciate is that FA doesn’t push unnecessary system overhauls. Instead, they help us build on what we already have—using custom apps and AI where it makes sense. With today’s tools, you can move a lot faster, as long as you still have the right structure and oversight in place. And in the end, you own your tools, and steer clear of vendor lock.
One tangible example is our production planning tool, which connects sales to production. We can anticipate our needs earlier, avoid delays, and reduce things like expedite fees and “expedite mistakes”! It makes everything flow better and takes a lot of stress off the team.
For us, as a lower-volume, high-complexity business, success is really about finding consistency where we can. And that starts with data. Before, we didn’t really have usable data—we had documents. Now, we’re building a system that actually lets us see the full picture; and with this strong foundation we can finally scale with the demands of a cleaner world.
Future Analytics has been a big part of that. They’ve helped us turn a pretty fragmented environment into something much more connected and scalable—and they continue to grow with us as we move forward.

What changed.
Systems connected and legacy documents unlocked — sales, operations, and finance visible in one place for the first time.
Needs anticipated earlier, delays avoided, fewer expedite fees and “expedite mistakes.”
Custom apps and AI built on the tools that already worked — no overhaul, no vendor lock, code theirs from day one.
